Daredevil is a Marvel Comics superhero who first appeared in Daredevil #1 in 1964, created by writer Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, with input from Jack Kirby. His real name is Matthew "Matt" Murdock, and he operates primarily in Hell’s Kitchen, a gritty neighborhood in New York City.
Origin Story
Matt Murdock was blinded as a child when he pushed a man out of the path of an oncoming truck carrying radioactive material. The accident took his sight but heightened his other senses—hearing, touch, taste, and smell—to superhuman levels. He also developed a radar sense, allowing him to perceive his surroundings in a way that compensates for his blindness.
Dual Identity
By day, Matt is a brilliant and compassionate lawyer, often defending those who can't afford representation. By night, he becomes Daredevil, a masked vigilante who uses his acrobatics, martial arts skills, and heightened senses to fight crime and protect the innocent.
