Johnny Blaze is a fictional character from Marvel Comics, best known as the original Ghost Rider. He's a stunt motorcyclist who makes a deal with the demon Mephisto to save the life of his mentor. As a result, he's bonded with a powerful Spirit of Vengeance.
Whenever Johnny is around evil or during the night, he transforms into Ghost Rider — a fiery-skulled, motorcycle-riding antihero with supernatural powers. These powers include superhuman strength, a mystical chain weapon, and the Penance Stare, which forces wrongdoers to experience the pain they’ve caused others.
He’s known for his inner struggle, as he tries to control the dark spirit within him while using its power for justice. Over time, other characters have also taken up the Ghost Rider mantle, but Johnny remains the most iconic version.
